CHILDHOOD COLLAGES

These collages were made from old 1970’s National Geographic magazines. The controversy between the ‘wild’ rural world depicted in the images and the ‘civilized’ treasury culture, from the white reader’s side, is most prominent. In this project I decided to focus on children in order to emphasize the gap between dream and reality.
